Below, Justyn, Director at Horton & Storey, tells us more about his life outside the world of property.
Who got you into property?
My partner, she applied for me, without me knowing, to a corporate recruitment day.
Favourite memory in the industry?
My first house sale – Eva Road in Winson Green (I named my daughter Eva!)
Biggest influence in your career to date?
My regional manager for 10 years, she saw the potential in me and guided me up the career ladder.
Worst moment?
When a sale falls through due to something out of your control.
Best moment so far?
The first day trading as Horton & Storey.
If you weren’t in the property industry, what else would you be?
A football agent.
How do you progress from a trainee negotiator to a Director?
Hard work, listen to your client’s needs and deliver them.
What are your greatest passions outside Horton & Storey?
My family, football and playing golf badly.
What would you love to do but never have the time or money for it?
To travel around East Asia.
Worst habit?
Not tidying my desk.
What word or phrase most depicts your personality?
Where there’s a will, there’s a way.
What’s your greatest fear or phobia?
Spiders anywhere near me.
If you had a theme song – what would it be?
Michael Jackson – Man in the Mirror.
Name three things that are always in your shopping trolley?
Prawns, broccoli and crisps.
